It all started in 1990 when Steve Esh noticed a need for a local engine sales and service company in central Lancaster County. With an interest and experience in engines, he started Steve’s Engine Service.

As the reputation grew for quality and integrity, the company grew and expanded. In a few years the company was working with brands such as Honda, Kohler, Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, and more. Over time Steve’s sons joined the company: Lee, Mel, Manny, and David.

It wasn’t long until the family noticed another need in the local community: a one-stop-shop for sales and service for mowers and outdoor power equipment.

With this need in mind, they purchased a tract of land next to Steve’s Engine Service and started the lawn and garden division - SteveCo Power.

With the expanded facilities and staff, SteveCo Power added the Ferris and Husqvarna brands. They also created a sister company that installs and services Kohler backup generators: SteveCo Energy.

Since the official opening on January 1, 2022, SteveCo Power has been proud to carry the legacy, quality, and integrity of Steve’s Engine Service. And they are ready to help you with your mower and power equipment needs as well!
