We know. Nobody wants to talk about snow yet.
But this is Pennsylvania.
It’s coming.
Before you park the mower in the corner of the garage and forget about it until spring, take a little time to properly prepare your outdoor power equipment for winter.
Start by giving your mower a good cleaning. Grass clippings, dirt, and moisture left around the deck can cause problems while the machine sits.
Check the oil, filters, belts, blades, battery, and other wear items. If something needs attention, fall is a much better time to discover it than the first beautiful Saturday next spring when everybody suddenly decides to mow.
Fuel deserves attention too. Gasoline left sitting for months can cause starting and fuel-system problems, so follow the storage recommendations for your particular machine and engine.
And don't forget the battery. Proper battery maintenance during the off-season can save you from discovering a dead one when you need the machine again.
Of course, putting away the mower also means something else.
It’s time to start thinking about snow equipment.
Before the first storm appears in the forecast, make sure your snow blower, tractor, attachments, and other winter equipment are ready to go.
At SteveCo Power, we can help with service, parts, maintenance, and the equipment you need for the season ahead.
Because the worst time to discover your snow blower won't start is when there are already six inches in the driveway.
Get ready now. Winter won't wait.
